Parish of Burbage with Aston Flamville

History of St Peter's church

St. Peter’s is the original parish church of the parish of Burbage with Aston Flamville. It is a worthy focus of the community of Aston Flamville and is ably supported by the people of the village.

Much restored during the Victorian era, its history goes back much further. It has features of interest including a sunken sanctuary (of which fewer than ten still exist in the country), and has a Dominican priest buried in the churchyard.

The church is concerned with the present and the future, as evidenced by the new lychgate. Its continued worship which embraces both traditional and modern forms of worship.
