Parish of Burbage with Aston Flamville

Mission

The churches St. Catherine and St. Peter are worshiping communities, focused around the weekly celebration of the Eucharist and dedicated to serving the needs of the people of Burbage and Aston Flamville.  This witness is a commitment to uphold the Gospel of Christ, and his representatives, within the community.

Mission Statement

  1. To encourage the widest involvement of worshippers in the work of the Church through the recognition and acceptance of the welath of human gifts within the community.

  2. To provide access to Church facilities for public worhip, in the form of the Daily Offices, the Sacraments, and other froms of Common Prayer, and for private worship on a regular basis.

  3. To encourage greater involvement to those seeking baptism, marriage and funerals in other areas of the Church and its worship.

  4. To seek to recognise Christ in the diversity of our neighbours regardless of race, colour, creed, gender, disability, sexuality or other individual quality.

  5. To address actively the physical, social and spiritual needs of the local community through involvement in organisations committed to the welfare of all.

  6. To promote the awareness and involvement of the Church in national and international issues of current ethical, social and political concerns, in a spirit of love and acceptance.

  7. To promote and engage in environmental issues and to represent the same in the the life of the Church.
